Master yogi Deepak Semwal was born in the northern Himalayas, in Rishikesh, the city known as the world capital of yoga and spirituality. The teachings of his grandfather, ritual priest and astrologer Acharya Mukund Ram Maithani, led Deepak toward yogic studies, first at the Shri Darshan Maha Vidhyalaya, where he studied Sanskrit, Yoga, Meditation and Ritual, then at the Sampurnanda Sanskrit Vishwavidhyalaya Varanasi, where he earned a master’s degree in Indian Philosophy and Literature. Under the directives of Guru ji Shri Jay Krishna Semwal Ji, Deepak deepened his holistic knowledge.
Today Deepak leads various retreats and yoga teacher trainings in India, as well as continuing his studies on the horoscope (a very important tradition in India) and the influence the planets play on our lives.
